A LITTLE BACKSTORY

I have always been an unconventional thinker. Whether it was deciding to become a Buddhist or move 9,000 miles across the world to Malaysia at 48, I have always looked at things differently. Over the years, my unique perspective provided my clients with out-of-the-box solutions regardless of their situation.   

I am a very fortunate man. I live on a tropical island (Penang, Malaysia) with a direct oceanfront view. My wife and I get to watch monkeys dancing through the trees while working from our home office. I have been happily married to Kirsten for 17 years, and we get along like newlyweds.

A LITTLE BACKSTORY

I have always been an unconventional thinker. Whether it was deciding to become a Buddhist or move 9,000 miles across the world to Malaysia at 48, I have always looked at things differently. Over the years, my unique perspective provided my clients with out-of-the-box solutions regardless of their situation.

THE AWAKENING 

The last conversation I had with my mother before losing her battle with cancer prompted me to change my life and sell my business. She looked at me with her beautiful blue eyes and said the only thing she wanted was more time. She pleaded with me to examine my life and look at how I was spending my time.

I realized that Kirsten and I were both spending 60+ hours a week working in our respective businesses and never had time for each other, friends, or family. I knew it was time to do something different, not retire but rewire. We chose to do this in Malaysia.

After all this work and study, I realized there was one piece missing in the success equation…it was GIFA. GIFA stands for Getting Into Focused Action. It is the basis of my work with my clients.

In life and business, I am known for coming up with effective outside the box solutions. I revel in not following the status quo. I guess that is why we moved to Malaysia not Florida.

It was years ago when a complete stranger helped change my life, it would be a privilege to do the same for you. Break-Through Coaching is the product of my years of business experience, coaching, and studying. My goal is to help you improve your behaviors to achieve your most important goals and have an extraordinary life!

A RANDOM STRANGER CHANGED MY LIFE

When I was younger, I experienced many troubles, all due to my foolishness, ego, and lack of self-discipline. I don't think that I am unique in this matter. However, I took it to the extreme and led myself into a dangerous lifestyle. One that didn't have a promising future.

A random stranger that I met through real estate gave me the spark that I needed to change my direction.   

He provided me with a free pass to a Tony Robbins event that started my journey to self-acceptance and improvement. No, I am not selling his programs, just telling my story. 

One of the lessons I learned from that weekend seminar was about success and how to use modeling to accelerate your results. I took all of the courses that Robbins offered, enrolled in the Landmark Forum, and even worked with a performance hypnotist.

I read hundreds of books about real estate, philosophy, religion, negotiations, and sales.

During my career, I earned an appraiser's certification, auctioneer's license and achieved a Certified Commercial Investment Member distinction. A CCIM is someone who has completed advanced coursework in financial and market analysis and demonstrated extensive experience in the commercial real estate industry.

In 2003, I co-founded a boutique real estate and business brokerage called the Energy-Xchange. We sold convenience stores, gas stations, and truck stops across the US and grew the business up to $150M a year in sales. After negotiating thousands of transactions, I have gained tremendous experience in problem-solving, contract negotiations, deal structure, and banking.

I also taught myself how to project manage the construction of single-family homes and condominium projects while managing my portfolio of apartments.
